Gail Bucker has a colorful career history. A Hot Springs, Arkansas native, Gail went to real estate school after graduation from Hot Springs High School with the intent of entering her father's family profession of real estate. Her father, grandmother and grandfather were all Real Estate Brokers.

Just as she was graduating in 1973, she was offered a job at KTCS Radio 99FM in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and became the third woman disc jockey in America. With no experience in the field, she was placed as host of the station's afternoon radio show. Rated #1, soon the news spread throughout regional radio about her talent and she was farmed to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she announced drivetime at stations WNAD, KOCY, and KTLS (now KZBS). She was later recruited by television station KWTV Channel 9, the CBS Afilliate, to the position of News Anchor, at the tender age of 21. After 2 years there, being an entrepreneur, she opened her own advertising agency specializing in broadcast media. As CEO, with the help of computers and technology, she pioneered her company to the 3rd highest billing advertising firm in the nations 36th largest media market.

In 1990, after 12 years in the advertising business, she retired and moved to Virginia Beach with her two children. Again, radio sought her out for her talent and she became "third wheel" in the #1 rated Virginia Beach morning show, Z104's "Z Morning Zoo" with Chris, Doc and Gail.

It was here in Virginia Beach she dated Tom Bucker, a native Virginian. Two years later they married and Gail settled into radio consultant work while enjoying her home and family. "I was just taking a break and being a Mom for once," she says. Tom's first wife died with cancer so now there were four children in the Bucker household.

In 2001, after three children had left home, she and Tom decided they were too young to retire, so they went back to school together for their real estate licenses and began in March of 2002 as a team. Within 4 months of their licenses being activated, this dynamic duo became the #1 selling agents for all 10 offices and 300 agents at a large Virginia Beach real estate firm in the month of June, 2002.

Hampton Roads Realtors awarded Gail with the Circle of Excellence Bronze Award for 2002 and the distinguished honor of "Rookie of the Year 2002." And the awards continued with Gail zooming to the top of Hampton Roads Real Estate History to go straight from Bronze to the newest highest HRRA Platinum CIrcle of Excellence Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005.  In 2006 Gail and Tom won the all new highest PINNACLE Team Award to be one of the Top 5 Pinnacle Teams in Hampton Roads. In 2007 Gail and Tom won the #1 Pinnacle Team in Hampton Roads!   Excellence in Real Estate and red carpet service is what "The Beach Pros"  is all about.

Tom fell in love with Sandbridge as a child.  His oldest sister Mary Agnes and her husband Buzz Walter,  bought their first oceanfront cottage at 2580 Sandfiddler Road in the 50's.  Tom has many fun memories of family times on the beach.

  
A Richmond, Virginia native,Tom enlisted in the Coast Guard after graduation from Benedictine High School. He won't tell you his rank but everybody called him "Cookie." 

After his 4 year hitch, Tom enrolled at the University of Maryland and majored in Public Relations.

Upon graduation Tom was employed by IBM, where after many years of excellence he achieved the prestigious "Golden Circle" Award, the highest level of sales excellence IBM awards, which few have attained.
